WHERE CONFIDENCE IS YOUR STRENGTH

1sam 17:45-47 tells the story of young David coming face to face with the huge Goliath in a historical liberating fight between the Israelites and the philistines. 1 kings tells yet another story of confidence in the history of believers.Deuteronomy 31:6-23 also tackles the same subject of confidence not forgetting Luke 10: 62 in the New Testament. You realize some three fundamental issues in all these divine writings.
First, all the the characters had there confidence and trust in Lord.
Second, they were fighting life-changing battles. Life-changing both upon them selves and the life of other people.
Third, they had mother courage and faith along with them.

If you carefully bread the Bible and all the books about success you will agree with me that success and confidence are twine sisters mothered by courage and determination daughter to faith. Moses and Elijah among other prophets exposed the highest degree of confidence in God and themselves as well. God gives you confidence when He gives the talents. Deuteronomy 31: 6-23 gives a clear impression that God loves confidence and gives it for our prosperity and His glorification. He encourages young Joshua to be confident and lead the children of Israel to the promised land.
How many times does the Bible tell us to be confident, have courage and faith in the the lord? Cervantes talks about courage in an amazing way, " He who loses wealth loses much, he who loses a friend loses more but he who loses courage loses all"

You cannot be confident and courageous enough if you still have fear aboard your ship to success. What is that brings fear in your way to success?... then pick up your bones and face it with courage, confidence and determination to kick it off your ship or you'll 'lose all'. Yes, face it, because "when you face what you fear you become fearless". What matters in the world is not the size of a dog in the fight but mainly the size of a fight in the dog.
Successful people have fears as well but they never let such fears overwhelm there performance, they only trust in the lord and this is where there success emerges form.
NINE WAYS TO PICK UP YOUR CONFIDENCE
1.Trust in God.
2. Be honest with your self.
3. Love your self
4. Think positive.
5. Always keep eye contact while talking to someone.
6. Listen and talk.
7. Practice patience.
8. Good body language.
9. Keep good company.

MAKE FRIENDS. NEVER EAT ALONE. HELP OTHERS

In the Bible, there are numerous stories both in the old and new testaments. Some of them we are well acquainted, others we are not, yet they are also interesting and educative as well. Perhaps they carry more or the same meaning like those we very much know.
One of such popular stories is that of the Good Samaritan who painted a good image of his origins –Samaria- Sorry if you have not heard about it yet.
Well, we learn either a lot or little from this story but the major thing is, Helping Others. It is from this that I want to say that in order to be able to help others we need to first get out of our selves. This requires a network of friends, contacts and interest in whatever we do.

Be anxious to knowing the names of those people you meet and try to remember them. Bill Clinton knows this better. While he was still president of US he would meet several people both locals and VIPs, most of whom he was meeting for the first time. In order to remember them he would write there names down on his long list and he did this daily. This means he could not easily forget them and he treated them as friends-One reason why he won many favors among the Americans just like Kennedy and Abraham Lincoln.

You cannot help people while you are reserved, mean and selfish person. If I may ask, how many new people have you talked to today?
Do you know their names? Do you know where they come from? Do you have time to know their potentiality?
Come on, meet at least two new people every week and you make connections with them and you will be surprised to have 104 friends at the end of the year and you will be a company of 105 friends each one with different potentialities ready to share and help one another. Can you imagine!
Remember, each one among these 105 friends has some more other five friends out side the company. Now tell me how friends will you have following the notion “A FRIEND OF A FRIEND IS A FRIEND.” The fact is you will be a network of friends only comparable to the Internet.

I shun people who call them selves “self made.” Actually, no body in this word is self-made. Show me one and I will tell you, “NO MAN IS AN ISLAND” even Jesus needed the twelve disciples.
Generosity is the key to success. It does not actually mean that when you help someone you will become smaller or subject to that person but the fact remains that the more people you help the more help you will receive. Here lies the paradox, Help to be helped.

Take for instance. A student good in mathematics helps others to learn the tricks of solving numbers and equations. In this case very many students will come for help from him but n the process they will be helping him to master and practice even the most difficult equations. Confirming the words of one great speaker, “practice not only makes perfect but permanent” hence passing his exams well. See?
So, it important to bring ourselves to the tradition of introducing, making friends and helping others, without flattering them. Because relationships are built on trust and honesty to thrive. Moreover, the currency of real networking is not greed, but trust honesty and understanding.
MAY GOD BLESS THE WORKS OF MY HANDS AND THE HOPES OF MY DREAMS.
